About RxCharity

To Improve Health Equity In The Inland Empire

Our Mission

We believe everyone deserves affordable and convenient healthcare. Our work gives members of the Inland Empire — regardless of income or insurance status — the knowledge, choice, and care they need to stay healthy. We’re here to help.

Our Impact

RxCharity is a non-profit founded by students from UC Riverside in 2020 (Crystal Hua and Malcolm Tran). We address the critical need by directly funding patients to pay for their prescription costs. Additionally, we will enhance the health eduction of clients by providing additional county resources, promoting healthy lifestyles, and working with them to understand ways they can improve their access to healthcare.

The Community We Serve

What We Do

Residents of the Inland Empire face unique challenges in terms of access to care. Health disparities are most profound in the Latino, African, and Native American populations. These groups make up more than half the population in the Inland Empire (54% in Riverside and 60% in San Bernardino Counties) and they face poor health outcomes and access to healthcare.

The overwhelming healthcare disparities in the Inland Empire is attributed to a variety of factors that include: low income/poverty levels, lack of education, lack of access to healthcare, and other socioeconomic barriers are reasons for this discrepancy.
